Our Mission:
To showcase the talents of local volunteers and to entertain and enrich our community by producing good plays done well.
Established in 1944, The Little Theatre of Walla Walla a volunteer-driven community theatre, producing 4 main stage shows each season and three children's theatre outreach productions each summer. Our mission is to showcase the talents of local volunteers and to entertain and enrich our community by producing good plays done well.
We accomplish our mission by offering everything from Broadway musicals and serious dramas to sophisticated comedies and children’s theatre outreach experiences as well as workshops and training sessions. There is something and a space for everyone. Our audiences and many volunteers are diverse in every way. The Little Theatre was created in 1944 to serve as a place of opportunity for people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and skills to enjoy, participate in and learn about live theatre from entry level and beyond. Our goal has always been and continues to be, to act as a catalyst for community vitality and artistry as we serve our beloved Walla Walla Valley for many years to come. Through community theatre involvement and children’s outreach, theatre cultivates a love of the arts, helps teach life skills, develops confidence and creates a robust sense of belonging…all of which effect and promote health in individuals as well as a community.
Our annual involvement is approximately 6000 people comprising both patrons and volunteers. The Little Theatre will charm you immediately! It is historic, intimate and full of unbelievable talent.
The Little Theatre is a hidden gem of the Valley. Serving as a volunteer-driven organization that is operated professionally with a large amount of fun is part of what makes our community great.
Guided by our full-time Executive Director, a very active Board of Directors, a strategic plan, and a clear vision for the desired improvements to the theatre, there’s never been a better time to get involved with The Little Theatre.
Please become a part of the legacy by volunteering, becoming a patron or partnering with us through your charitable gift!
